Dr. Chang Siew Yee graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Massey University, New Zealand after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in NUS. While working with a variety of animals, she fostered an interest in emergency/internal medicine and imaging.
As a certified Veterinary Acupuncturist with Chi Institute since 2015, Dr. Chang incorporates her expertise in TCM and acupuncture with western medicine to provide the best possible recovery for her patients.
Dr. Chang is also an avid learner, having obtained a certificate in ultrasound and small animal emergency medicine in 2017. She is dedicated to upskilling to attune herself to the needs of her patients and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Small Animal Medicine.
Dr. Chang shares her home with two adorable rescued furkids. Turns out, Daisy and Mushu are the best roommates she could ever ask for. It's no surprise they're all members of the couch potatoes club.
Dr. Ang Yan Qi graduated from The University of Sydney. During her time in veterinary school, she had undergone various clinical placements and gathered practical knowledge and experiences. Having raised many pocket pets since young, she has a soft spot for these inquisitive and adorable small animals.
Dr. Ang enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and has developed an avid interest in dentistry and soft tissue surgeries. Besides striving to provide quality care for our furry friends’ physical health, she is also deeply concerned about their emotional wellbeing, Therefore she hopes to provide a low stress environment for her patients at the clinic.
During her free time, Dr. Ang enjoys spending time with her playful poodle, Xiao Ai and Leggo, a Lionhead mixed rabbit.
Dr Shang graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia. During her time there, she developed a keen interest in small animal surgery and decided to stay and pursue the Small Animal Surgical internship at a specialist centre. She also has a soft spot for birds and has been invited as a guest speaker at the avicultural conventions held in Brisbane and Sydney during her school years.
Outside of work, Dr Shang enjoys spending time with her family, going for sports activities as well as attending concerts and food hunting. She advocates adoption and currently shares her home with her ‘ah lao’, Yuan Bao.
Dr. Asyila Jamil graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons). As an undergrad, she gained exposure working in various veterinary clinics, hospitals and animal shelters.
In 2017, she moved to Singapore to work for a 24-hour vet practice and a vet specialist hospital before joining us. Although she enjoys all aspect of companion animal medicine and surgery, Dr Asyila has great passion for emergency medicine and critical care. In 2020, she received her certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care with First Class Honours.
Growing up with cats, rabbits, fishes and ruminants, Dr Asyila enjoys all aspect of animal medicine. With a deep love and respect, she strives to improve the lives of all creatures under her care. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family, friends and her 3 felines, Val, Pumpkin & Junior (in pic).
Rachel began her passion as a Vet Nurse since 2013 assisting in examinations, consultations and surgeries. She is vital part to patient care and works across a huge range of roles including drawing blood, running diagnostic tests and supporting treatment procedures.
Fluent in several dialects, you will find Rachel greeting you at the reception area. She enjoys connecting with people and their fur babies and you’ll often see her dispensing treats to our four-legged visitors.
Rachel endeavours to bring happiness to our clinic’s pets, pet parents and to our team every day. She particularly has a soft spot for senior animals and focuses on their comfort. These are just some of the reason why we call Rachel, ‘mum’.
Armed with a diploma in grooming, you will sometimes find Rachel honing her craft to hospitalised animals to help reduce their stress and anxiety. She is proud mum to two bubbly young kids and a very cuddly rescue poodle Creampuff’.
Beverly graduated with a diploma in Marine Science and Aquaculture. With a keen interest in the veterinary field, she decided to intern at a vet clinic and realised quickly that it was her calling. Her commitment and competency landed her position as Vet Technician/Nurse since 2017.
Although the day-to-day nursing care can be quite challenging, Beverly feels that being a part of an animal’s road to recovery is reward in itself. As such, you can see her extend her love and compassion to all the patients to the best of her abilities. With a keen interest in dentistry, she advocates regular dental care to keeping every fur pets healthy and their teeth sparkling.
During her free time, you’ll find Beverly either at the gym or volunteering at animal shelters or at social programmes for the elderly. She doesn’t have a pet right now but if she had one it would probably be a fainting goat or potbelly pig.
Kat was working in a top hospitality industry before deciding that she wanted to change her career path and put her sunny personality, welcoming smile and friendly conversation for a different purpose.
As the face of our front desk ‘Jie Jie’ Kat is the first point of contact and has the crucial role of ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. She manages client interaction, scheduling, ordering, dispensing and payment collection for animal diet and medication. She is dedicated to providing the highest level of care and attention to the clients and patients.
Kat has a daughter and 3 dogs and between them, does not have much spare time. In the little time she has, she enjoys exercising and baking. She also took an interest in pet grooming and has been honing her skills since.
Daisy is the CEO (Casual Eating Officer) at Sunshine Vet Care. You’ll see her from time to time on our Instagram and Facebook posts looking all cute and curious. With her orange silhouette on the clinic's logo, she is literally the face of the practice.
